Big Dreams, Open Heart

Nayeli’s relationship with the performing arts began at six years old, when she started taking theater dance and jazz funk classes at a local dance school in Tijuana. She continued training throughout her childhood, participating in dance festivals at her hometown’s cultural center. At twelve, she fell in love with acting and discovered the magic of stepping into someone else’s world. In 2021, she moved to New York City to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating with an Associate in Arts degree in 2023. She now continues her journey at Juilliard, always looking for ways to grow, take risks, and surprise herself as an artist.

Outside of acting, Nayeli is a multidisciplinary artist who loves exploring different ways to create. She paints, plays with pottery, models, keeps training her voice and dance skills, and loves making short films with friends just because an idea is too good not to bring to life. She believes some of the best things begin with a group of friends, a little imagination, and the willingness to figure it out along the way. She is endlessly curious about art and all the ways we can use it to express what words sometimes cannot.

Nayeli is a dreamer, but not the kind who waits around for things to happen. She is spiritual by nature, believes in manifestation, trusts her intuition, and knows that dreaming big also means putting in the work. In fact, she already has her speech written for the day she wins an Oscar. She sees no reason to dream small when the possibilities are endless. For now, she is focused on creating, learning, meeting people who inspire her, and telling stories that make people feel something. The rest? She believes she is on her way.
